Hello and a Blessed Full Moon to everyone reading this post.
This Full Moon is positioned in the homely, sensitive, caring and nurturing sign of Cancer. Yasmin Boland, in her book ‘Moonology,’ says that this Full Moon is especially good for Taureans, Cancerians, Virgos, Scorpios, Capricorns, and Pisceans and may seem challenging for other signs. Basically, all water and earth signs can benefit from this phase while the fire and air signs may find this phase a little difficult to navigate through. Cancerian Full Moon brings our attention to our home and family. Have you been spending quality time with your loved ones and are you taking excellent care of your own body and its needs? Cancer is ruled by the Moon and the Moon’s influence can make one moody and sensitive around this time. Therefore, we should also be aware of how our moods are impacting those around us and if we are being too needy or clingy. Pay attention to your reactions and take a step back from taking any actions or doing something which can have irreversible consequences especially if you are feeling too intensely about something.
As Full Moon cycles are about completion, I asked for guidance this morning on what is nearing completion and a message for us. 7 of cups showed up as our card to indicate what is coming to completion. The 7 of cups appears to be a card of choices and confusion. If you have been feeling confused about making an important decision, are lacking clarity, are presented with choices and are unsure of what to pick and choose, this Full Moon can help you gain perspective and offer clarity. Set your intentions and spend some time meditating (preferably under the moonlight, if possible). Avoid making decisions in haste. If you lack the confidence to decide on something, come back to it later.
The 7 of cups card is a lot more than just choices and confusion. This card is ruled by Venus in the passionate sign of Scorpio. Venus + Scorpio is an intense combo in relationships. The negative side to this can result in jealousy, possessiveness, the inability to let go of something when you should, vengeance, etc. This is a good time to release yourself from attachments that are negatively impacting your life, especially your relationships. Even if you are the one harboring some of these negative sentiments, don’t criticize yourself. Instead, practice forgiveness, acknowledge the truth and allow the energy of the Full Moon to help you release all detrimental habits.
Our guidance is coming from the 3 of pentacles where we find the fiery Martian energy in the controlled, orderly, and disciplined sign of Capricorn. This is a fruitful phase for work matters and if you have been working hard at something, recognition and growth opportunities are highly likely to be offered to you. Your projects may bring to you the initial success but don’t let this get to your head. There is still a lot more work that needs to be done. Focus on mastering a skill and improving your knowledge and expertise in a chosen area. This card reminds me of renovation and re-doing our space and with the Cancerian Full Moon, this is a good time to make positive changes to your environment.
Remember to channel your enthusiasm and energy in the right direction. Don’t scatter your ideas and get distracted. This is a good time to assess your projects and look at the bigger picture. If something isn’t working for you, look into alternatives and choose carefully. Your ambitious energy can spark your creativity and push you forward to achieve what you set out for.
Goddess Quan Yin has come up for this Full Moon bringing us the message of Care and Compassion. While extending care towards those in need helps us be more human, do not deprive yourself of this same care and love. Full Moon is a time of forgiveness and releasement. Offer a helping hand. Before you set out to make a difference in the outside world, take a moment to notice your inner world which includes your relationship with your family and loved ones.
Finally, I drew a crystal card for this Full Moon and received the Eye of The Storm. Like its name suggests, this is a stone which helps one navigate through a stormy phase in life. It is known as the Life Support crystal and helps one focus on the bigger picture, which was reminded to us earlier by the 3 of Pentacles card. If you have this stone with you, it will be best to take it out and meditate with it, today. If you don’t have this stone, that’s alright. You can meditate on the picture of this stone or simply absorb its message and mentally ask for it’s healing energy to aid you at this time. The message of this stone is to balance our life. We may have become deeply fixated on one aspect, ignoring the others. Or perhaps, we, at this point, may be unable to see the forest for the trees. Let go of stress and stay centered, no matter what storm is raging around you.
I hope these messages bring guidance, insight, and light into your lives. Thank you for taking the time out to read this post. Wishing everyone a Blessed Full Moon. Take good care of yourself. Until next time.
